Melissa Neighbour
Sustainability Manager
As Sustainability Manager, Melissa is responsible for driving the LJ Hooker sustainability agenda, which sets out to achieve optimum financial, social and environmental outcomes, both for the Group and its clients.
Melissa is working towards building the Group’s position as the leading eco-broker in Australia and as a leader in sustainable development and management.
Before joining LJ Hooker, she spent four years as an environmental town planner with Conics, where she worked on a number of sustainable developments. Melissa is experienced in dealing with a range of sustainability rating tools, indexes and environmental legislation.
She worked in the area of community consultation and was responsible for the design, preparation and implementation of community consultation programs. She also helped establish the systems for providing this service to clients.
Melissa has completed a Bachelor of Environmental Planning with honours at Griffith University, Queensland. During her studies she worked at the Gold Coast City Council Strategic Division where she gained experience in the planning industry, particularly in the areas of strategic and environmental planning.
