John Kinghorn
Non-Executive Director
John is Chairman of the Hooker Corporation's Remuneration Committee and serves the LJ Hooker Finance and Asia Strategic Development groups.
After qualifying as a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse & Co Sydney, John founded Delfin Armco Financial Services, a specialist transport, shipping and drill rig financier in Australia and Asia in 1971.
He also founded and was the majority shareholder in several major companies including in 1979, Allco Finance Group Limited — a specialist packager of aircraft, shipping and rolling stock leases in Australia, USA and Europe; 1989, RentWorks Limited — an operating lessor of office, medical and gaming equipment in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Malaysia, Kenya and India; and 1995, RAMS Home Loans Limited — an originator, funder and servicer of residential home loans in Australia.
In 2003, John acquired and remains principal shareholder in Orbian Corporation, a leading US and UK provider of supply chain finance.
In 2006, he founded The Kinghorn Foundation and is also a trustee. He is Chairman of RHG Limited, RentWorks India Private Limited, KV Aviation Limited and the Australian Golf Club Foundation Limited.
He is a Director of Graphite Energy Pty Limited, Krispy Kreme Australia Limited, Orbian Corporation, Dia Vikas Capital (Private) Limited and Cascade Coal Limited.
