Robert McLean
Non-Executive Director
Rob is a company director and private equity investor and has spent most of his career at McKinsey & Company where he led the firm's Australian and New Zealand practice.
Currently he is senior advisor to McKinsey & Company and a member of the Reserve Bank of Australia’s Payment Systems Board, appointed by the Federal Treasurer. Rob also chairs the Australia Program Advisory Board of the Nature Conservancy in Australia.
Previous appointments include those of Dean and Director of the Australian Graduate School of Management at the University of New South Wales from 2003 to 2006. Rob has also served on the boards of public companies such as CSR, Pacific Dunlop and Elders Rural Services.
He is a co-founder and Chairman of Social Ventures Australia, a social not-for-profit enterprise, and is a director of the Centre for Independent Studies, a policy think-tank.
Rob received his MBA degree from the Columbia Graduate School of Business where he also received a Fulbright Hays Award. He has a Bachelor of Economic Statistics with first-class honours from University of New England in Australia.
